How Do I Apply?
Oak Grove Classical Academy has implemented a thorough admissions process in an attempt to be inclusive of families who strongly desire a classical, Christian education with an emphasis on character development and parental involvement.
Oak Grove Classical Academy does not discriminate based on race, gender, color, national and ethnic origin with regard to rights, privileges, programs, activities, educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, or other school administered programs. It also shall not be discriminatory in fellowship, acceptance, membership, employment, or leadership.
The admissions process involves the following steps:
1. Pray.
Prayerfully consider your family’s needs for education and whether those needs would best be met by Oak Grove.
2. Get info.
Attend an Informational Meeting to receive an overview of the school and an application packet. Parents must attend at least one Informational Meeting before their child begins classes at Oak Grove. Please see upcoming events or call the school office for more information.
3. Read.
In order to make the most of your partnership with us, it is important to understand what we do and why we do it. We require all families to read the following books prior to their interview.
- Character Driven College Preparation by Dr. John Turner, Jr. (a small, 62 page book on UMS)
- An Introduction to Classical Education by Christopher A. Perrin (a small, 44 page booklet)
4. Apply.
Complete an online application form for each student. Note these forms are available under the Admissions bar on the left of this page under Applications.
5. Test.
Students complete an admissions test for proposed grade. Placement testing is not required for students entering kindergarten.
6. Interview.
Participate in a family interview to be scheduled after your application has been received and reviewed. This interview is for the purpose of discussing the compatibility of the family’s goals with the school’s methods and philosophy. Parents need to have read the required reading prior to the scheduling of a family interview.

7. Acceptance.
Receive letter of acceptance, Family Handbook, Book lists and Uniform requirements.
8. Register!
